Is a local, family-run accounting firm based in Hervey Bay, QLD. Established in 2007 by Julie Morrison, Accounting & Tax Matters is unlike other accounting firms. Our friendly home-based business operates with a small support team (as well as our fur-babies!), which means your affairs will always be attended to by Julie herself.  We specialise in the accounting and tax needs of individuals and small businesses. Our aim is to truly understand your situation and help you to reduce your tax and grow your business.  Julie and our friendly team look forward to assisting you with your tax and accountancy needs.

About Julie

Julie has a Bachelor of Business (major in Accounting) and a Graduate Diploma of Taxation from Central Queensland University. She is a CPA (Certified Practicing Accounting), Tax Agent, and Justice of the Peace.

Julie was born in Maryborough, and has lived in the area her whole life, bar three years in Rockhampton for university study, and seven years gaining professional experience on the Gold Coast.

She is an active member of the community being involved with parkrun for a number of years as well as other various community organisations.

 

 

About Anita

Anita is our Administration Manager here at AATM, originally from Tasmania, she has made Hervey Bay her new hometown.

Anita has worked for many years in Administration and retail roles and loves nothing better than a shoebox full of receipts to organise.

A lover of all animals (except spiders) she is mum to a Golden Retriever, enjoys live music, cooking and a good gin & tonic.

 

 

About Alana

Alana is the newest member of our team, and will be doing all our business bookkeeping and moving into tax returns in the near future.

She has just graduated from Hervey Bay State High School and is undertaking Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.

She is originally from Victoria but has now been in the Bay for seven years.

Alana loves all her animals, even though she’s allergic, it won’t stop her from giving them a good cuddle, especially her two naughty Jack Russell’s.

Alana enjoys adventures, nature, and a good rom com movie at the end of the day.
